About Red Hawk Mining
Red Hawk Mining has redefined the West Australian Blacksmith Project to ‘right size’ the development with a focus on high-grade, near-term iron ore production. The Blacksmith Project is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, approximately 70km north-west of Tom Price. Blacksmith is surrounded by many major iron ore projects and significant associated road, rail and power infrastructure. The Project has the potential to be a long-term supplier of iron ore to global steelmakers.
Goals
Accessing DSO grade ore with particular emphasis on low strip ratios and mining above the water table.
Minimizing capital expenditure with contract mining, crushing and trucking, and utilizing public roads and third-party ports.
Assessing options to reduce Blacksmith’s carbon footprint through renewable energy and other initiatives.
Proactive engagement with Traditional Owners to consider value-adding partnership opportunities.

The Red Hawk Mining document management solution has been created utilizing the 'hIT 365 DMS' Best Practice solution template.
Libraries
The libraries module allows for the automated creation of project and business area libraries. Assign role-based users, as well as external parties, to project and business areas. All user permission settings are automatically managed based on the defined RHK permission matrix.
Incoming Documents
The incoming documents module provides Red Hawk Mining and all of its external contributors with an easy-to-use process to submit documents for processing by RHK Document Control in bulk. All essential metadata is captured, and a notification is sent out to document control.
Documents
The center piece of the solution. All project and business area documents can be easily found here, security trimmed as per assigned role(s). Create new drafts, publish PDFs and add new revisions of existing documents with a few clicks. The solution automatically generates document numbers and sequences based on metadata selection. Intelligent checks govern the revision control to ensure the integrity of the document management solution. Accumulate documents for reporting, tasking and transmitting through the document basket feature.
Bulk Import
This module enables swift processing of large numbers of incoming documents into the DMS. Create documents as new entries with pre-populated metadata or utilize document number recognition to quickly add new revisions of an existing document.
